Ryan Ho is a fifth year Finance student at the Sauder School of Business. For the past three summers, he has interned in Hong Kong with Taubman, a real estate developer, owner, and manager based in the U.S. As the Chair of PVCC this year, Ryan aims to push the event's ongoing success to new heights and continue to explore the world of entrepreneurship and venture capital. Aside from school, Ryan's interests include DJing, producing electronic dance music, photography, sports, and going on outdoor adventures. This summer, Ryan worked at BMO Capital Markets in their Sales and Trading group.
Kerry Poon is a third year student at the Sauder School of Business specializing in Finance with a concentration in International Business. As Competition Director last year, Her interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship grew stronger as she expanded the competition internationally by inviting more students from across the globe to Vancouver to compete. Outside of PVCC, Kerry is a big foodie, passionate adventurer, and history enthusiast.
Harpreet Sidhu is a third year student at the Sauder School of Business specializing in Business Technology Management. Her interest in PVCC was inspired by her entrepreneurial friends and family. This year, she hopes to help in expanding the conference and creating a better experience for all attendees. She is excited to see finance students, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals all come together. Outside of school, Harpreet is an avid fan of slam poetry and indie-pop music.
Shirley is a second year student at Sauder School of Business planning on specializing in Operations & logistics. This is Shirley's second year organizing PVCC and she is very excited to work along side the team and industry professionals to make PVCC 2017 the best one yet! Shirley enjoys hiking, traveling, photography, and video editing in her free time.
Alex Gillis is a first-year Loran Scholar at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business. Holding the title of Startup Canada’s 2015 "Young Entrepreneur of the Year”, Alex is heavily involved in the Canadian startup ecosystem and has advised Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on the future of entrepreneurship and education for youth in Canada. Alex is the CEO and Co-Founder of Bitness, a growing retail-focused location analytics startup. Aspiring to see more youth enter the business and technology space, Alex created Hoist Halifax and is now bringing entrepreneurial education to the student masses through The Next Foundry.
Alon Aminov is a first year Scholar student at the Sauder School of Business planning on specializing in Finance. Over the past years, Alon’s growing interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship has inspired him to join the PVCC team. Alon will contribute to the team by sharing knowledge from his past experiences with the hopes of enhancing the PVCC 2017 experience for all attendees. Outside of school, Alon enjoys competitive track and field and hiking.
Anthony Liang is a fifth year Finance and Real Estate student at the Sauder School of Business. This is Anthony's second year on the PVCC team and he hopes to expand the competition further by bringing in entrepreneurs with whom he has worked with from biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Anthony enjoys competitive swimming, exploring new hiking trails, and playing the piano. This summer, Anthony worked as a Development Intern with Ivanhoe Cambridge.

Franck is a 5th year finance student at Sauder. In the summer of 2015 he interned at Bank of China's growth equity division in Shanghai, which renewed his interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship. He plans to use what he learned in his past experience to help grow the competition and conference.
Stanley is entering his final year at UBC, specializing in Finance and Marketing while continuing his position at a health care startup. He is always looking for ways to combine his sense of adventure with his business creativity to build unique projects and ventures.
Linette is a fifth year Marketing student at the Sauder school of Business. Working for C100 Association in San Francisco during one of her Co-op terms has ignited her interest in the Canadian startup ecosystem and VC world. As an artist who loves to create through her photography and painting, she can also be found trekking up a mountain or running through trails.
Karen is a first year student at the Sauder School of Business, with hopes to specialize in marketing. She is passionate about visual arts and looks forward to honing her abilities in Photoshop and Illustrator to create eye-catching promotional materials for PVCC. In her free time, she enjoys flea markets, a good documentary and time with her friends and family.
Patrisse Chan is a first year Bachelor of International Economics and Master of Management Dual Degree Program student at the University of British Columbia. With a penchant for learning, Patrisse is involved in a range of PVCC departments from internal to competition to corporate relations. Other than contributing to the growth of PVCC in both the entrepreneurship and venture capital facets, Patrisse also loves to dedicate her time to learning languages, coding, and hiking.
